Tie-Breaker Rules
Tie-Breaker Rules for the Rap King & the Team Champion positions.
When
the total scores of 2 or more players (or two or more teams) are tied, the tie-breaker
rules shall apply in the following order:
(1)
Most 6’s, 5’s, 4’s, 3’s, 2’s & 1’s.
If
still tied:
(2)
The players shall compete in a playoff round, in
a timely manner as scheduled, and in a format as determined by the tournament organizers.
Tie-Breaker Rules for the 2nd place and lower positions
When
the total scores of 2 or more players (or two or more teams) are tied, the tie-breaker
rules shall apply in the following order:
(1)
Most 6’s, 5’s, 4’s, 3’s, 2’s & 1’s.
(2)
Least total games gave away (in games won - that is, where 6 games were scored).
(3)
Sum of opponent scores (in games won - that is, where 6 games were scored).
A player who won his/her games against the
strongest opponents shall be ranker higher.
(4)
Least individual opponent games gave away (in games won - that is, where 6
games were scored).
A player who 6-love another player shall
be ranked higher than players who gave away more games in their
best
round.
(5)
Highest individual opponent score (in games won - that is, where 6 games were
scored).
A player who won against the strongest individual
opponent shall be ranked higher.
If
still tied:
(6)
The players shall compete in a playoff round, in a timely manner as scheduled, and
in a format as determined by the tournament organizers.
